Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of energy industry experience, with demonstrated success in B2B sales and/or business development
- Deep understanding of electricity markets, programs, tariffs, and regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in the energy sector
- Established network within the energy industry in Western Canada, including relationships with utilities, LDCs, regulators, and major energy consumers
- Strong technical acumen, including familiarity with energy management systems and data analytics tools
- Track record of successful strategic event participation and industry conference networking
- Experience with CRM systems and sales operations tools

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant industry certifications (CEM, P.Eng, PMP)
- Background in Canadian energy markets
- Located in Calgary, Edmonton or BC
- Reliable access to personal vehicle for in-person meetings and site visits
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles with large energy consumers, from prospecting through closure focused on Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan
- Meet with potential customers remotely and in-person to progress deals
- Build and maintain a robust network of industry relationships to accelerate market entry and growth
- Participate in key industry events and conferences to enhance company visibility
- Execute territory-specific go-to-market strategies
- Improve coverage of target accounts and brand recognition in Alberta
- Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and potential partners, to establish a strong market presence.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and potential acquisition targets, to support rapid revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the product team to adapt our energy solutions for new market requirements
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive product improvements and market fit
- Identify emerging market opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for product development
- Work with technical teams to ensure product capabilities align with market demands
