Position: Technician

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Hourly Rate: $18-20 per hour

Weekly hours: Full time, 40 hours per week.

The Kelvin installations team is writing the rulebook for large-scale hardware deployment. You will be a key player in product assembly and warehouse organization tasks and also comfortable traveling out to the field to support with installs and surveys. The ideal candidate is professional, punctual, and brings a high-degree of ownership even when a task is simple or repetitive.

What You’ll Do

  • Represent the Kelvin team both out in the field and within a warehouse environment
  • Measuring tasks: Using measuring tools to collect precise measurements of radiators out in the field
  • Data input: Ensure data is entered accurately into our mobile application
  • Customer Service: Utilize your customer service experience to ensure client satisfaction during on-site visits and office based interactions.
  • Field Support: Perform various tasks such as servicing and installing radiator covers.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in the proper use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and facilities maintenance equipment.
  • Possess the ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Thrive in a team-oriented environment by effectively communicating and coordinating with colleagues to achieve project goals.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Willingness to work in various assigned locations across NYC five boroughs based on project requirements.
  • Reliable public transportation is essential for commuting to different work sites, however a car is not required.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience in customer service is required.
  • Proven ability to work in physically demanding roles.
  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools.
  • Familiarity with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective teamwork and customer interactions.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background Checks and Identification Credentials verification.
  • Ability to operate manual handling equipment such as manual pallet trucks
  • Experience in HVAC, construction, or building-related projects is a plus
